Leadership Candidate Process 2025 Details
The application and selection process for the leadership team is extremely rigorous and is designed to select the "inner circle" of the Pebblebrook High School Band program.
If you are interested in being a part of the Pebblebrook Band Leadership Team, you will begin the application process:
Part One:
Only students who earn a passing score on the LQE will continue to Part Two of the process and become a Leadership Candidate.
Part Two:

The Leadership Team will be selected from the final results of Part Two.
It is a great honor to be a student leader in the Pebblebrook Band program. All leaders will lead by EXAMPLE, not by TITLE. Student leaders will exist to support the Band Directors and to serve the band program. Being a student leader is a very time-consuming role and will extend beyond just band practices. To serve on the band leadership team at Pebblebrook is not only a tremendous honor, but it is also a great responsibility that requires patience and training.

Part One:
- Attend Leadership Informational
- Submit Leadership Qualifying Evaluation (LQE)
Only students who earn a passing score on the LQE will continue to Part Two of the process and become a Leadership Candidate.
Part Two:
- Submit Application
- Scales and Music Audition
- 12 Major Scales - Minimum Tempo Quarter Note 120
- Etude - Given out at the Meeting
- Put The Scales and Etude into one video.
- Teacher Recommendations
- Director Interview
