Acceptance Letter/Details
Parents and Students,
Congratulations on your acceptance to the 2026 University of Georgia JanFest Honor Band taking place January 15th - 17th.
This is a significant accomplishment, as selection for JanFest is highly competitive and includes outstanding high school musicians from across the region. Your acceptance is a reflection of your musicianship, work ethic, and commitment to excellence within the Pebblebrook Band Program. We are extremely proud of you and confident that you will represent the Pebblebrook Band with professionalism and pride.
JanFest provides an exceptional musical experience, allowing students to rehearse and perform advanced repertoire under the direction of University of Georgia faculty and guest conductors. The event will take place on the University of Georgia campus in Athens and will conclude with a final performance in Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall.
The cost to participate is $200, which covers event registration, instruction, travel, and lodging. Payment is due January 12th via CutTime. If you would like to pay Cash please reach out to one of the Directors so that we can coordinate with one of the Booster Treasurers. Students will be staying at the Spring Hill Suites Athens West. Additional details such as band placements and final concert times will be released soon.
Students are responsible for lunch and dinner. Students will need around $25-30 for food daily as breakfast is provided by the hotel.
Congratulations again on this outstanding achievement. We look forward to supporting you throughout this process and celebrating your continued growth as a musician.
Packing list and full itinerary will be sent at the first of the year.
If you have any questions regarding this trip, please contact Mr. Kirtdoll directly at 678-559-4822.
