Mr. Wimberly is a native of Atlanta, GA where he attended Banneker High School.  Mr. Wimberly attended Clark Atlanta University.  While there he studied with James Camp, Cedric Young, Crystal Harris, Mark Boozer, James Patterson, and Mary Frances Early.  Mr Wimblery obtained a Bachelor degree Music Performance (Tuba) from Clark Atlanta University, a Master Degree in Music Education from Troy University, and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Troy University.  Mr.  Wimberly plays professionally in many groups in the southeast including the Phat Katz Brass Band.  Mr. Wimberly hold professional membership in Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA), National Association for Music Education (NAfME),  and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity.
